Fashion Trends: Main Colors of 2024

Fashion Trends Main Colors of 2024

Every year, the Pantone Color Institute announces the hue of the year: in 2024, it was a soft peach. However, Pantone’s recommendations are used not so much by brands and clothing creators as by interior designers, manicurists, and digital artists. This year, however, Pantone’s color of the year, a soft pastel shade of orange and pink, has become an integral part of fashion collections. What colors will keep it company in the list of top trends of 2024?

The collections of leading fashion houses are dominated by minimalism and muted palettes, although designers strive to combine soft colors with saturated ones. Fashionable color combinations in clothes in 2024 look fresh and life-affirming. Let’s take a closer look!

Peach

In keeping with its annual practice, the Pantone Institute has chosen its 2024 color of the year. Peach Fuzz, a pink-orange hue, will be put on a pedestal next year. The Color Institute believes that this color reflects the desire to take care of oneself and others. At the same time, the Trend Bureau of Worth Global Style Network proclaimed a soft apricot shade called Apricot Crush as the color of 2024, so it has already managed to take a leading place in the collections of many designers. Clothes in these shades can be found in the collections of Alberta Ferretti, Roksanda, Balmain, and Fendi.

White

White color is actually hard to call a trend because it is an ageless classic. However, this season it is elevated to a new level. On the catwalks, white was used in all kinds of fabric combinations: there were wool, leather, and chiffon. The most fashionable shade is Cold Sparkling White. It’s the shade of freshly fallen snow, of a sheet boiled and dried outside in winter, of a classic shirt from business suit commercials. Look for the perfect white pieces in the collections of Max Mara, Bottega Veneta, Chloé, and Miu Miu.

Yellow

Yellow this season is presented in different variations. Let’s start with a saturated one. This bright, sparkling yellow promises a glimpse of happiness and spontaneity. This is the color chosen by Carolina Herrera and Louis Vuitton for their collections. Bright, and life-affirming, it connects favorably in images with dark colors, as well as light tones of this palette.

Another facet of yellow is a calm pastel shade in the spirit of quiet luxury. This neutral color looks different in different light, bringing elegance and sophistication even to baggy clothes.

Pistachio

Bright shades of green have been trending in past seasons, while this year calm tones are taking the stage. Pistachio is one of the most appetizing trending colors of 2024. Designers such as Versace and Stella McCartney included this shade in their spring and summer collections, making it a new favorite for both evening dresses and casual ensembles. This color goes well with both light and dark earthy shades, also relevant this season.

Pale blue

While blue ruled the ball in 2023, the new season’s most coveted color is a light celestial shade. This delicate and sensual color looks especially good in combination with strict fitted silhouettes. Designers suggest dressing in monochrome or combining light blue with other celestial shades, as well as playing on the contrast. It is one of the rare shades that suits everyone – any skin and hair tone, making it versatile. Accessories in this color scheme are also very popular, especially bags. Look for the perfect blue outfits at Prada, Marni, and Staud.

Cherry

The bright red trend of past seasons has been smoothly replaced by cherry red or burgundy. This shade radiates sophisticated power and simply screams luxury and elegance. For example, almost the entire Hermès Spring/Summer 2024 collection was an ode to this color, and that’s saying a lot. Even the legendary Rick Owens moved away from his characteristic black color to showcase red pants, bracelets, and austere boots. Cherry Red was also inspired by Burberry, Isabel Marant, and Alexander McQueen in their collections.

Chocolate

Of all the 1990s trends that have returned to the runways recently, brown stands out as the most attractive. This color has already become almost as classic as black and white because clothes and accessories of chocolate brown shade are able to fit into a completely lbyoytgarrobe. These are easy to complement and wear. This shade will also make any fabric look chic. You can see for yourself by checking out the latest collections from Loewe, Hermès, and Givenchy.

Steel Gray

For a long time no one called Gray the Lightning color, but this season it can easily compete for leadership even with Peach. Its versatility makes it indispensable, and also this color can be easily combined with almost any other. Although, in 2024 gray is not even combined, but only worn, total gray is the new total black. This season it’s hard to find a collection that wouldn’t have an accent on steel gray – Gucci, Balenciaga, and the more restrained Barbara Bui have it.

Metallic

Metallic shades, from shining silver to liquid gold, add luxury and shine to looks, showing a balance between boldness and sophistication. Metallics were everywhere on the runways, from the shiny silver creations of Paco Rabanne and Giorgio Armani to the liquid gold of Celine. In 2024, metallics are expected to feature in looks not just as an accent but as a complete outfit.
