The Minor League Baseball franchise was founded in 1996 in Oaxaca de Juarez, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Meaning and history
The logo of the Triple-A team the Guerreros de Oaxaca stands out among other baseball emblems due to its characteristic color scheme.
1996 – 2006
The previous version showcased the lettering “Guerreros” in white in front of a roundel. On the background, there were two crisscrossed baseball bats topped with ax heads.
2006 – Today
The Guerreros de Oaxaca logo is basically a shield embellished with the team’s wordmark, the script “Guerreros,” and the interlacing letters “Oax” above it. The end of the “S” is stretched to form a line under the word.
Colors
The simple combination of white and black used on the Oaxaca Guerreros logo is strikingly unusual for a baseball team.
