Williamsport Crosscutters Logo history

The brand identity of the Williamsport Crosscutters was inspired by the crosscut saw, the main tool used to harvest the lumber. In this way, the team wanted to honor their home city’s history in the lumber industry.

1999 — 2005

Williamsport Crosscutters Logo 1999The author of the original Williamsport Crosscutters logo was a local artist. It depicted Rusty Roughcut, who was to become the team’s first mascot.

2006 — Today

Following the change in affiliations, a new, more refined emblem was developed by the firm Plan B Branding, which is now known as Brandiose.

Like the Philadelphia Phillies, the Williamsport Crosscutters have red, navy blue, and white in their logo. And yet, the shades are different. Moreover, the palette of the Williamsport franchise is more complex – it also includes grey, tan, and ivory.
