GMC Hummer EV logo disclosed

Early this year, General Motors presented the GMC Hummer EV in a series of teasers. According to the corporation, the revived Hummer is going to be an SUV (a truck version is also expected) powered by an electric engine that was reflected in the “EV” standing for “electric vehicle”. The car’s release was expected to take place in late May, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed until this autumn.
Amidst the lack of information about the new Hummer, car enthusiasts catch any news making the image of the upcoming vehicle clearer, and recently, it has been complimented with the logo for the GMC Hummer EV leaked from the patent offices of the US and Canada.

GM filed trademark application to the US Patent and Trademark Office and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office on August 7th. It is noteworthy that GM’s app to CIPO includes a logo representing the big “H” and “EV”, while being titled “Hummer H-EV (stylized) & device”. So, it’s not excluded that “H-EV” will be a part of the off-roader’s official name, and that can be considered as a reminder of Hummer’s H-series.

The fact that the application’s Goods and Services section includes “bicycles; apparatus for locomotion by land” may be a hint that GM may release an electric bike under the Hummer H-EV brand, following Jeep that presented its E-Bike in March.
As for the GMS Hummer EV (or H-EV) itself, we know so far that the vehicle’s motor will show stunning specs with 1,014 hp and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. That will allow the SUV accelerate to 60 mph only in 3 seconds.
