Grosvenor Casino is a brutish chain of casinos, which today includes over 50 locations across the UK and Belgium. It was founded in 1970 and today is a very popular European gambling company, which also provides online-casino services.
Meaning and history
The chain of gambling clubs and casinos, Grosvenor Casinos, was founded in 1980, and today is owned by The Rank Group, a company, which is involved in the gambling business, but for the first part of its history was known as a film-production firm.
Grosvenor Casinos have 55 locations in England, and two casinos in Belgium, which remain unbranded. Apart from actual casinos in its country, the company also works online, and via its web platform, it operates in the UK, Belgium, and Spain.

Grosvenor Casino is the name of a British gambling company, which was established in 1970, and by today has grown into a large player with more than 50 locations across the United Kingdom and Belgium, and its online activity in Spain too.
1970 – 1990
The original casino logo simply displayed their name in two lines. The letters were capital sans-serif characters. The coloring was different for each line: grey for the upper line, white for the lower one.
1990 – 2005
The 1990 logo is more sublime. It’s a round emblem with a frame around it. This frame held the casino’s name, written in thin, sans-serif letters along the edges. Inside, they put the letters ‘G’ and ‘C’. These had an elegant, thin appearance. The whole logo was black-and-white.
2005 – Today
The Grosvenor Casinos logo is a reflection of the gambling industry and is composed of an emblem with is sometimes accompanied by the wordmark on its right.
The Grosvenor Casino emblem is an image of a casino chip with the company’s name written inside around the perimeter and a monogram placed in the middle.
The “Grosvenor Casinos” inscription in all capital letters featured a modern sans-serif typeface with elegant details, such as a slightly elongated tail of “R” and curved lines of “S”.
The Grosvenor Casino signifier, which takes the central part of the emblem, is a stylish handwritten letter “G”, which features brave and confident lines.
When the wordmark is used alongside the emblem, it is written in the same typeface as the brand’s name on the casino chip and placed on two levels.
The color palette of the Grosvenor Casinos logo is dark green and white. Green is a symbol of wealth and money and is also known to be the main color of the poker tables. White adds a sense of trust and safety to the logo.
