The name “World Football League” can refer to two organizations that worked at different periods but shared the same logo. Both of them are now defunct.

The first World Football League was established in 1974 and closed in 1975. Then, in 2007, its name and logo were sold, and a new minor league system was established, which operated from 2008 through 2010.
