Meaning and history

St. Bonaventure Bonnies Logo history

After the athletic program was officially renamed the Bonnies, its logo was updated. It still featured the large “B” but the glyphs looked different now, and there was the word “Bonnies” below.

In 1998, the St. Bonaventure Bonnies logo was redrawn from scratch. It now featured Bona Wolf, which was chosen due to the wolf’s connection to Franciscan tradition. Since then, there were only minor modifications of the palette.
