St Bonaventura Bonnies are the sports program of one of the New York universities, St. Bonaventure University. The program is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, where its 14 men’s and women’s teams compete in various sports disciplines.
Meaning and history
1992 – 1999
After the athletic program was officially renamed the Bonnies, its logo was updated. It still featured the large “B” but the glyphs looked different now, and there was the word “Bonnies” below.
1999 – 2012
In 1999, the St. Bonaventure Bonnies logo was redrawn from scratch. It now featured Bona Wolf, which was chosen due to the wolf’s connection to Franciscan tradition.
2012 – 2016
The color palette changed in 2012, making some elements of the logo marginally darker.
2016 – Today
By 2016, the coloring switched to various shades of brown, grey and white, but nothing else changed.
