Meaning and history

Northern Colorado Bears Logo history

Over the last 15 years, the Northern Colorado Bears logo has evolved from a pretty cluttered design to a more minimalistic one.
In 2004, the teams started using an emblem where you could see a bear stretching out his hand forward. Below, there was the lettering “Northern Colorado.” In 2010, only the bear’s head with the mouth open stayed on the logo.
The mouth of the bear depicted on the 2015 logo is open not so wide, and you cannot see the fangs as clearly as on the previous version.
