Meaning and history

The old Northeastern Huskies logo introduced in 1992 sported an angled view of the head of a husky. The dog was placed over the grey sector with red trim. The words “Northeastern” and “Huskies” were written above in red and white respectively. On the 2001 version, a leaping husky could be seen. The name of the team was positioned below. The following version did not share the dog theme – it was just a large “N” in black and red.
Eventually, the team opted for an emblem featuring the head of a husky, though.
