Meaning and history
1992 – 2000
The old Northeastern Huskies logo introduced in 1992 sported an angled view of the head of a husky. The dog was placed over the grey sector with red trim. The words “Northeastern” and “Huskies” were written above in red and white respectively.
2001 – 2006
2007 – 2017
A 2007-adopted logo was just a big letter ‘N’. The font was a pretty basic serif style, but the coloring was 50/50 black and red, divided diagonally in two parts.
2018 – Today
The 2018 design lacks excess, compared to the older emblems. They added a husky’s head in black and white, but it’s now a realistic depiction, even if short on detail. Above, the word ‘Northeastern’ is depicted in big capital letters, arranged in a curve.
