North Texas Mean Green Logo PNG
The varsity teams comprising the athletic program of the University of North Texas used to play under the name of the North Texas Eagles. Today, they are known as the North Texas Mean Green.
Meaning and history
1968
In 1968, the North Texas Mean Green logo in green and white was introduced. The abstract symbol it featured bore a striking resemblance with the swastika.
1995
In 1995, a totally different emblem was unveiled. Here, you could see an eagle in flight with the old name of the team written across its body.
2005 – Today
While the eagle has remained on the current version, which was introduced in 2005, it now looks pretty abstract.
