Loctite Logo

Loctite is a brand of adhesives fabricating company, which was established in 1956 in the United States. Today the trademark is owned by German Henkel Corporation and distributes its products all over the globe.

Meaning and history

The Loctite visual identity is very bright and remarkable, it makes the brand’s products stand out on the shelf and is really brave and bold.

The logo is composed of a single wordmark, which is sometimes placed into a scarlet red rectangle, but more often is used on its own, drawn in red and white.

The Loctite nameplate in all the capital letters is executed in a bold italicized sans-serif typeface, with straight clean lines. It looks neat and full of energy, showing the company as powerful and progressive.

Loctite Logo

The only decorative element of the Loctite logo are thin white lines in the middle of the first three letters of the wordmark, “LOC”. It is supposed to emphasize the company’s products, as well as to create a stronger color contrast.

The Loctite logo is simple yet recognizable and memorable. The red and white color combination evokes a sense of passion and energy, and the white adds some purity and lightness to the extra bold brand’s lettering.
