Illinois State Redbirds Logo PNG
Since at least 1980, the Illinois State Redbirds logo has always featured a stylized red bird. It does not mean that the emblem has remained the same, though.
Meaning and history
1980 – 1995
On the 1980 logo, the bird was showing a thumb signal. The lettering “ISU” was written across its fist. On the background, there was a white ring with a black trim.
1996 – 2004
While the 1996 logo preserved the side view of a red bird as its central element, now the creature looked by far more aggressive. The full name of the team could be seen below.
2005 – Today
The current Illinois State Redbirds logo, which was introduced in 2005, is more professional and detailed.
