The baseball franchise Delmarva Shorebirds was established in 1996 in Salisbury, Maryland, where it’s located now. The Class-A South affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, they are part of the Atlantic League.

The old Delmarva Shorebirds logo featured a side view of a bird’s head in grey inside a black and orange oval with the text “Delmarva Shorebirds.”

The 2010 emblem

The current logo was developed by the San Diego-based brand identity firm Plan B Branding. Once again, we see a side view of a bird’s head, yet this time, there’re more details and emotions. The creature has a fierce look at its face.

The official palette including black, silver, and orange was borrowed from the logo of the Baltimore Orioles, Delmarva’s parent franchise since 1997.
