If you only take one look at the Atlantic Coast Hockey League logo, you’ll immediately perceive its “coastal” feel. The teal waves form the visual core of the emblem. The large black letters “ACHL” seem to be floating on the waves, as does the black hockey puck. In fact, the puck may look a bit like a shipwreck and thus slightly damage the spirit of dynamism and competition that is typically implied by a sports logo.
The ACHL logo also includes the full name of the league, which is given above the abbreviation in smaller letters. They are quite legible at larger sizes, but in case the emblem is given at a smaller size, they would be hard to understand.
