The only Chargers team, which is not a part of the Gulf South Conference is the men’s lacrosse club, which competes in the Peach Belt Conference, also affiliated with the second division of the NCAA.

As for the visual identity, the Alabama Huntsville Chargers teams use a very fresh and stylish logo, composed of graphical elements and a two-leveled inscription in a light and cold blue, gray, and white color palette. The logo hasn’t been changed for many years, as the perfectly balanced badge, introduced in 2005, not only looks good on the teams’ uniforms but also reflects the values and mood of the students-athletes, showing them as strong, determined and reliable.
2005 — Today
The logo of Alabama Huntsville Chargers, designed in 2005, features a clean and modern image of a horse head, drawn in profile, facing to the right. The horse is set in white and has a bold smooth blue outline and some light-gray details over the head. The image is set above the two-leveled logotype, written in a bold custom sans-serif typeface.
The upper level of the lettering comprises a “UAH” abbreviation in small capitals, while the bottom level has a larger “Chargers” in the uppercase. Both lines are set in one typeface and written in one style — with the white bodies of the letters, and a thick blue outline. The contours feature sharp details, and slightly elongated diagonal bars, which make the whole badge unique and recognizable.
