Meaning and history
Stobart Air is an Irish regional airline that was founded by Andrew Tinkler in 1994. Over the years, the airline has achieved significant milestones in the aviation industry. It has established itself as a key player in the regional air travel sector, offering scheduled services, charter flights, and wet leasing options.
One of Stobart Air’s notable achievements was becoming a franchise partner for Aer Lingus Regional in 2010. This partnership allowed the airline to operate under the Aer Lingus brand, providing seamless connectivity between Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Continental Europe. Stobart Air successfully expanded its route network, connecting numerous regional airports and facilitating travel for both business and leisure passengers.
Another significant milestone for the airline was the introduction of its modern fleet of aircraft. Stobart Air incorporated fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly aircraft such as the ATR 72-600 into its operations. These state-of-the-art planes enhanced the airline’s efficiency, reliability, and passenger experience.
Unfortunately, in recent times, Stobart Air faced financial challenges, leading to the suspension of its operations in June 2021. Despite efforts to secure new investors and potential buyers, the company ultimately entered liquidation in April 2022. As of now, Stobart Air is no longer in operation, and its legacy serves as a reminder of the dynamic nature of the aviation industry.

???? – 2014
The original Stobart Air logo was set in a green color palette, and featured the first name of the air carrier, AerArann, written in an elegant italicized font above the “Regional” tagline in smaller characters. The inscription was accompanied by a modest emblem, formed by two swooshes in two shades of green.
2014 – now
The redesign of 2014 introduced the new name of the company, changed the color palette from green to blue, and created a new emblem for the logo. The “Stobart” was emboldened and set in an italicized typeface above a medium-weight “Air”. The lettering was set on the left from an emblem with a fancy blue and gray feather on it.
