What is One teaspoon?
One teaspoon is the name of an Australian fashion brand for women, which was established in 2000. The brand is specialized in the production of casual wear and accessories for women of different ages, but with the same value of style and freedom.
Old
The original Oneteaspoon logo was introduced in 2000 and featured a very interesting combination of a logotype in two styles and a graphical emblem.
The inscription has its “One” part in the lowercase of a custom serif font, connected to a handwritten cursive “Teaspoon” with uneven contours and lines. As for the graphical part of the logo, it depicted a solid black silhouette of a bird, flying to the left, and wearing a necklace with an enlarged bone.
Today
The Oneteaspoon logo pairs a plain type with a unique pictogram, which results in a distinctive and memorable design.
The lettering “Oneteaspoon” is given in a modern sans serif type. It is rather bold, with slightly elongated glyphs placed rather close to each other.
To the right of the wordmark, there is a tiny bird in flight. While the bird’s wings are open, they are depicted in a different way than in a typical “winged” logo (the Bentley logo, for instance). This makes the Oneteaspoon logo stand out.
Font and color
The uppercase sans-serif lettering from the primary One Teaspoon logo is set in a clean and modern sans-serif typeface with bold lines, straight cuts, and distinctive contours. The closest fonts to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, Avenir Std 85 Heavy and Janna Bold.
As for the color palette of the One a teaspoon visual identity, it is based on a traditional and timeless combination of black and white, which is most often used by fashion brands, as suits, for almost any occasion and can be placed on various backgrounds.
