Benedictine Celebrates its 60th Anniversary with a New Logo

For Benedictine this year will be marked by a special event, its 60th anniversary celebration, that will last till the end of the 2019-2020 school year. And the recently revealed new logo is closely connected with the significant date. The new design is expected to reflect the present status of the organization and at the same time emphasize its rich heritage.

During the past years Benedictine staff have done their best to fulfill the mission of helping students with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in learning, and their work hasn’t remained unnoticed and is praised by national recognition. Thus, in 2011 Benedictine was selected as a”School of Excellence”.

 

Initially originated as the Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict, the school started its practice since 1887. Nowadays Benedictine presents a Maryland-based up-to-date special education instituion for children and grown-up with maldevelopment, one of the top six organizations in the sphere, making every effort to deliver high standard services, catering to the needs of disabled individuals.

 

The school long history is shown in its moto design as well, which is printed with the traditional font and in a maroon shade, colour of the Order of St. Benedict crest. As for the logo graphic, it features an enhanced arch with a star, symbolizing students’ pathway to learning and attainment to reach their best potential.

Benedictine’s 60th anniversary celebrations will finish at the end of the academic year. Celebration culmination will happen on the 25th of April 2020, coinciding with the Spring Benefit, Benedictine’s annual fund-raising night. The both events will take place at the Tidewater Inn in Easton.
