Lost Ink is a fashion label founded in 2014 in West London. Its collections combine British fashion heritage with a modern edge.
Meaning and history
While the wordmark is pretty generic, the “LI” symbol has a unique touch. A similar approach has been used by quite a few other fashion houses. For instance, the Chanel logo combines a plain type with a more or less unique symbol.
The Lost Ink logo features the name of the label in an austere sans. While it can boast perfect legibility, we cannot say it looks distinctive. The “LI” monogram solves this problem, though. Here, the “I” is shorter than the “L,” which gives a chance to place it above the horizontal bar of the “L.”
