Founded in 2005, J Brand originally offered only women’s denim. Today, the range of the Los Angeles-based brand is wider, and you can find a lot of products for men. The majority of J Brand belongs to Japanese retail giant Fast Retailing.
Meaning and history
The J Brand logo may seem generic, at first glance, – just the name of the company in a bold (and rather simple) sans serif font. Yet, if you take a closer look, you will notice the unusual “R” that makes the design unique. The end of the “R” is extended to form a distinctive curve looking like a foot. As a result, the letter gets something human about it and brings about a playful mood.
