Meaning and history

George Mason Patriots logo history

Both the current George Mason Patriots logo and the previous one convey the patriotic theme with the help of a star design. On the old logo, the star was flat and green. There were two yellow ribbons flowing to the right and the lettering “George Mason” below.

The current logo, which was introduced in 2005, has preserved the star theme. Yet now, the star is black and yellow. It has some depth and a tail behind. The word “Mason” dominates the George Mason Patriots logo.
