Genshin Impact is one of the newest names in the video games industry. This RPG was created by miHoYo in 2020 and has become very popular across the globe in no time. Genshin Impact is an open-world role-playing action game inspired by The Legend of Zelda series. The fantasy world of Teyvat is full of ruins of ancient cities, fortresses, magical forests, and other such things. The game’s world is completely open to exploration, and every mountain can be climbed.
Meaning and history
The miHoYo studio is already known outside of China for their previous project Honkai Impact 3rd, which is also extremely popular among gamers.
Genshin Impact is a party game where you can switch between characters at any point during combat. The characters themselves can be obtained from the “gacha” – an in-game system, similar to the Lootbox, where for a certain amount of special currency players get weapons and heroes. The composition of the group must be approached wisely, because the characters have different skills of different elements, combining which in battle is the key to victory. The game also has a co-op, which allows four players to simultaneously conquer the expanse of Teyvat.
The game was announced back in the first quarter of 2017. The developers sought to fill it with an interesting story with exciting action and create a colorful open-world with exciting and unique quests. Already at the beta testing stage, Genshin Impact generated rave reviews from users.
It is a cross-platform game, which is available on mobile devices on Android and iOS, as well as on PC and PlayStation. Like most Asian projects of this kind, it is made in anime style. Despite its popularity, however, Genshin Impact has received rather conflicting opinions among professional gaming publications.
Genshin Impact has a very interesting story with several surprising plot twists. To get more immersed in the game world, you can read the books revealing Teivat. These can be found, for example, in the library. Also, the player meets a huge number of NPCs, which at first do not have any side quests, but they will become available after reaching a certain rank of adventure and reputation in the city. This is done on purpose, so as not to burden the newcomer and not to distract him from the story at the beginning of the game.
Genshin Impact Logo
The visual identity of Genshin Impact is elegant and simple. Based on the monochrome logotype with several small and delicate graphical elements, the logo of the RPG leaves all the color fullness and creativity to the game itself, not distracting the players with its cover.
The logotype is divided into two levels, with the smooth and elegant “Genshin” set on the upper line. The inscription is all set in capital letters, but with “G”, “S” and the last “N” enlarged. These three letters are also the main points, framing the graphical additions — two sharp strokes on the sides and a crown-like composition on top. The “Impact” on the bottom line is also executed in the uppercase, though looks strict, stable, and simple, using a different font for its letters, and different size as well.
Color and font
The monochrome color palette of the Genshin Impact visual identity is a timeless choice, which stands for strength, confidence, and professionalism, at the same time leaving space for all the possible experiments inside the game.
As for the font of the game’s logotype, there are two serif typefaces used in the composition. The upper line is executed in a smooth and elegant style, with slightly elongated and softened bars and their ends pointed. As for the bottom line, it uses a traditional strong serif font with straight solid shapes.
Icon
The Genshin Impact icon is pretty minimalist. It uses only the letter “G” executed in the same elegant typeface as on the full logo of the game. The letter is accompanied by the crown, composed of two smooth strokes and a four-pointed star between them.
The color palette of the icons varies from monochrome, to gray, black and white, and sometimes can be used in more colorful versions, including gradient pink and blue schemes.
