The logo of the Canadian company BRP Inc. (Bombardier Recreational Products) is simple, meaningful, and unique.

Meaning and history

While the company was officially founded in 1942, its history can be traced back to 1937, when Joseph-Armand Bombardier got his first patent for the creation of a tracked vehicle for traveling over snow. Today, this vehicle is known as the “B7 snowmobile.”

The BRP logo is based on a circle shape. The design merges the name of the company with a symbol of its products, a wheel.

The lettering “BRP” features an unpretentious sans serif font with slightly rounded corners. The italics add some implied motion, which is beneficial for a company manufacturing vehicles. The white letters are placed over the black background.

Above, there is a part of a stylized wheel featuring various shades of silver. The gradient adds some depth. The black background also has a 3D effect, due to which the design has some dimension.

Also, a flat version is very often used. Here, both the wheel and the lettering are white, while the circle housing them is black. While this version is simpler, it is also much easier to reproduce on various surfaces.

In spite of the fact that the letters are pretty small, the BRP logo works well both at larger and smaller sizes.
