1992 – 2000

The company was founded under the name Eurocopter, so the first three logos were featuring the original name. The initial badge, introduced in 1992, was composed of a bright blue roundel with a white geometric image of a helicopter on it, and a lowercase black lettering in a modern sans-serif typeface.

2000 – 2010

The redesign of 2000 has brightened up the shades on the emblem and added a very small “An EADS Company” tagline in a more traditional sans-serif font. As for the main wordmark, it was rewritten in a lighter font but kept the original style.

2010 – 2014

In 2010 more volume was added to the Eurocopter logo, with the emblem redrawn in a three-dimensional way, switching the colors, and using light gray for the sphere and blue for the helicopter now. As for the inscription, it was now set in uppercase, with the characters also in 3D, with gray gradients.

2014 – 2017

The name of the company was changed to Airbus Helicopters in 2014, and the logo was changed accordingly. The blue on the emblem was darkened up, creating a more serious look of the whole composition, and the gray of the lettering was also intensified, with the characters getting larger and more distinctive.

2017 – now

The redesign of 2017 has kept the style and composition of the previous version, but redrew all elements in a flat way, using a new navy and white color palette and slightly refining the contours of the lettering. Now it looks very professional and stylish in its minimalism.
