Meaning and history
Women’s Health is a multi-platform brand, offering not only printed version of its magazine, but also a website, mobile application, books, DVDs and events.
The Women’s Health logotype unites all the directions of the brand, helping to strengthen its bold, fresh approach that resonates with women looking to improve every aspect of their lives.
The Women’s Health wordmark logo features a Didone style font, which is very similar to the bold version of Bodoni Poster Compressed (Bodoni Poster is a variant of the Bodoni typeface and it was designed by Chauncey H. Griffith in 1929 for posters).
The brand’s color palette varies from red wordmark on a white background (the original color scheme) to pink and blue background tones with white or black lettering (which refers to the World Symbol or women’s health and reproductive system – a symbol for female in pink with a blue staff entwined).
