Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is obsessive and unprofessional, but he sincerely believes that he does everything for the best of others. The Office is a fairly light series, without a direct plot that extends over several episodes. All the characters are very different, but at the same time, there is chemistry between them. So, it is quite interesting to follow them and their relationships. The presentation of the series is captivating as you follow not only the actions of the characters but also how they explain what happened or share their thoughts on this matter. The episodes are not repeated and each time something new and funny happens.

Meaning and History

The UK version of “The Office” was created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. It premiered on BBC Two on July 9, 2001. The series received critical acclaim and won several awards, including two Golden Globe Awards. The UK version ran for two seasons, totaling 12 episodes, along with two Christmas specials in 2003. The US version was developed by Greg Daniels and premiered on NBC on March 24, 2005. It was adapted for American audiences. The series concluded after nine seasons in spring of 2013, with a total of 201 episodes.
