Salerm is a cosmetic brand offering a variety of hair care products. Its roots can be traced to the late 1970s when Víctor Martínez Vicario purchased Salherm, a small coloring company and transformed it into his own business.
Meaning and history
The understated elegance of the Salerm logo results primarily from the choice of typeface. The glyphs featured in the word “Salerm” have a soft, rounded shape. There are no real serifs but the ends of the letters are slightly thicker and look like commas.
Below the name of the brand, there is a horizontal bar and the word “Cosmetics” in smaller, simpler letters. It features an all-cap type in contrast to the word “Salerm” where only the initial is capitalized.
