North Carolina Asheville Bulldogs is a sports program of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, USA, which consists of twelve men’s and women’s teams, competing in the First Division of National Collegiate Athletic Association in various sports including Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer and many more.
Meaning and history
1982
On the North Carolina / Asheville Bulldogs logo introduced in 1982, the torso of the bulldog could be seen. The lettering “UNCA” was placed across its chest.
1989
1998
In 1998, a completely different UNC Asheville Bulldogs logo was adopted featuring only the bulldog’s head and the team name.
2006 – Today
In 2006, the name of the teams was replaced by the large “A.”
