LATAM Airlines (TAM Airlines + LAN Airlines) is one of the founding members of LATAM Airlines Group, Latin America’s largest airline holding company. LATAM Airlines used to be called LAN Airlines S.A. and LAN-Chile.
Meaning and history
There is a lot of implied motion in the LAN Airlines logo. You can feel it in the multiple white ribbons depicted to the left of the wordmark. The ribbons are white from the one side and red from the other. They create a sort of whirl.
The word “Latam” features a rather wide sans. The lettering “Airlines” is thinner and smaller.
The Latam Airlines logo is typically placed on the blue background.
