The brand quickly gained popularity, and more locations were developed across the country. In 1989, Embassy Suites was acquired by Promus Hotel Corporation, which also owned several other hotel brands. Ten years later, Hilton Hotels Corporation acquired Promus Hotel Corporation, which included Embassy Suites. This acquisition significantly expanded Hilton’s presence in the all-suite hotel market. A new color palette included rich and inviting red tones, which conveyed a sense of warmth, sophistication, and power. All other elements remained unchanged. The overall aesthetic was oriented towards conveying a sense of upscale living while maintaining a friendly and approachable feel. The combination of typography and graphic elements aimed to establish Embassy Suites as a premium, all-suite hotel brand.

1991 – 2000

The inscription is accompanied by a stylized emblem with a large “E” that highlights the brand’s upscale and welcoming nature. The color palette often incorporates black and white, reflecting a sense of comfort and sophistication.

In 2000 the Embassy Suites logo was refined and modernized. The concept remained the same, but the emblem was now redrawn in a lively turquoise and white color palette, and the extended lettering (with the “Hotels” added) changed its typeface to a more distinctive and sharp serif with the extended contours of the characters and more space in between the letters.
