The wings and anchor on the Dockers logo were inspired by the company’s West Coast roots and maritime style. The core product, khaki pants, was based on the clothes originally worn by British longshoremen.
Meaning and history
For almost two decades since 2000, the company was using a comparatively minimalistic logo featuring an anchor, four horizontal bars, and the name of the brand. However, in 2018, the brand reintroduced its older logo, which was somewhat more complicated. The original stencil was made by designer Milton Glaser known for his works for the “I *heart* New York” campaign. The updated label appears on all the products, from shoes to belts, wallets, and other apparel.
