2011 – 2020

BMW i Logo 2011

The letters “B” and “i” are part of one of the other. A vertical rhombus shape with two rounded opposite corners and a metallic silver finish is the letter “B”. The slits in the “B” resembled an “i” that was white with a blue outline. The three-dimensional look of the emblem and contemporary coloring reflects the fact that this division of BMW is dealing with the latest technologies and creates stylish electric automobiles.

2020 – now

The previous logo was reworked, although the original idea was preserved. The metallic silver and blue were replaced by muted shades of these colors. In addition, the shape of the emblem was no longer elongated vertically. The blue color outlining the “i” was no longer there. Instead, the designers added a blue strip on the left side of the “B”, which is why the shape of the emblem has changed.
