Meaning and history

Albertsons Logo history

The Albertsons logo hasn’t changed much since the 1980s. The only visible difference was removing an apostrophe from the company’s name in 2002.
The Albertsons logo is composed of a wordmark and an emblem on its left in a two-shades of the blue and white color palette. The lettering is instantly recognizable due to the use of an unusual typeface — the Art Nouveau font similar to Introspect, which was designed by Phil Martin.
Smooth lines with diagonal cuts and rounded angles look artsy and creative, adding a sense of elegance and style to the logo.

The soft sleek lettering is accompanied by a laconic and fine emblem, which is composed of a plant image in dark blue, enclosed in an open frame, consisting of two thick curved lines.
The blue and white color palette of the Albertsons logo represents the reliable company with values of quality and loyalty, evoking a friendly feeling and showing the brand’s customer as the main element of the company’s system of interests.
