Sikorsky Aircraft Logo

Simple and perfectly legible, the Sikorsky Aircraft logo has a distinctive touch and includes several symbolic details. The word “Sikorsky,” which is probably the most prominent part of the design, features a bold and slightly italicized sans. The lettering “A Lockheed Martin Company,” which can be seen below, is lighter and smaller. The stylized star seems to create a symbolic link with the parent company, Lockheed Martin.

Font and Color

The heavy uppercase lettering from the primary logo of Sikorsky Aircraft company is set in an extra-bold italicized sans-serif tour face with the characters placed quite far from each other. The closest fonts to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, Univers 85 Extra Black Oblique, or Ultimate Serial Heavy Italic.

As for the color palette of the Sikorsky Aircraft visual identity, it is based on a dee yet calm and slightly muted shade of blue, which is a universal symbol of reliability and confidence. This shade of blue also represents professionalism and stability, and evokes a sense of trustworthiness.
