You can come across an older Saudi Arabian Airlines logo featuring a muted, grayish shade of green. Next to the word “Saudia,” you could see two crisscrossed scimitars and a date palm tree.

1996

The company changed its name. Now, there was the lettering “Saudi Arabian Airlines” in blue next to the date palm tree and the scimitars, which grew gold. A gold crescent moon was added.

2012

When the company returned to its historic name “Saudia,” it did not change much in the design. Just the wordmark grew shorter and larger.

Font and Color

The elegant uppercase lettering from the primary badge of Saudi Arabian Airlines is set in a sleek custom typeface with smooth arched lines and elongated tails of the bars. The closest fonts to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, Highfield Regular and Artifex Hand CF Bold, but with the contours of the characters modified.

As for the color palette of Saudi Arabian Airlines, it is very royal and chic. Based on a combination of dark blue and gold, it evokes a sense of responsibility, excellence, and elegance, showing the strongest sides of the company.
