Qiantu Motor, established in 2016 by Lu Qun, a former BAW engineer, is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Suzhou. It debuted with the Qiantu K50, a 2-seater electric sports car, at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The production of the K50 began in 2017 in Suzhou. The company expanded its lineup with prototypes like the luxury Concept 1 and the smaller sports car K20 at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. Although they planned U.S. expansion in 2018 and suspended operations in 2020, Qiantu resumed in 2022 with a new electric hatchback, the K20.
