1969 – 2008
The original logo of Mandala Airlines was created in the end of the 1960s and stayed with the company for almost forty years. It was a simple black lettering in the titlecase of a geometric sans-serif typeface( with the first part emboldened. The inscription was placed on the right from a delicate brown emblem, depicting a traditional mandala drawing.
2008 – 2013
The redesign of 2008 has rewritten the lettering in the lowercase of a bold sans-serif typeface, leaving only the “Mandala” part. As for the emblem; it was also redrawn, changing the color palette to blue and gold, and getting more details, which made it look more sophisticated and interesting.
2013 – 2014
In 2013 the logo of the air carrier was redesigned again. This time the concept was completely changed. The new badge featured a two-leveled inscription in bold gray letters, set in the lowercase of a rounded sans-serif typeface, with the plain gray “Mandala” underlined by a “Tigerair” where the got above the “I” and the tail of the “G” were colored orange.
