The initial logo for Carolina Panthers, introduced in 1995, boasted a modern and fancy image of a roaring black panther, placed in Âľ with its mouth open. The graceful and dangerous animal was drawn in black with thick blue accents. White color was used for thin and sharp elements such as teeth, mustache, eyes, and nose. The drawing was outlined in a thin black frame, which made it look like a separate distinct badge when placed on a contrasting background.

2012 – Today

The logo was redesigned in 2012 with no major changes, just the lines of the black panther refined and modernized. The thin black outline was gone from the emblem, making it smoother and more contemporary. The mustache switched its color from white to blue, as well as the animal’s nose, keeping white color only for its sharp teeth and eyes, which gained small blue accents to make the look of the panther more intimidating and dangerous.

The black and blue color palette of the Carolina Panthers’ visual identity was set in its original version and keeps staying with the club’s logo, as a reflection of power, determination, and confidence.
