Buddha Air is a prominent airline based in Nepal. It was founded by Mr. Surendra Bahadur Basnet and his wife Mrs. Karna Maya Basnet in 1996. Since its inception, the airline has achieved several significant milestones. It was the first airline in Nepal to introduce international flights within the country, connecting Kathmandu with Pokhara. Buddha Air has a fleet of modern aircraft, including ATR 72 and ATR 42, offering safe and comfortable travel experiences to passengers. The airline has been recognized for its excellence and has received numerous awards, including the Best Domestic Airline of Nepal. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Buddha Air continues to be a leading domestic airline in Nepal, providing reliable air transportation services and contributing to the country’s tourism industry.
