The very first logo of the air carrier from Gabon, designed in 1951, featured only the “TAG” abbreviation drawn in enlarged brown characters against a plain white background. The capitals were placed diagonally, overlapping each other, and featured an interesting checkered pattern, with the square made of thin white contours in the brown surfaces.

19?? – 1974

After the first redesign, the logo of the company was significantly changed. Now the only element on the banner was a bold bright-blue “TransGabon” lettering, set against a transparent background without any additional elements. The wordmark was set in a cool sans-serif typeface with interesting cutouts on the upper parts of the characters.

1974 – 1977

In 1974 the company was officially renamed Air Gabon, and the new logo was introduced in the same year. It was just a two-leveled inscription, with the “Societe Nationale” in small caps written on top, and the name of the company set in enlarged characters under it. Both parts were set in the same medium-dark shade of blue and the same modern sans-serif typeface with classy shapes of the characters.

The last redesign was held by Air Gabon Airlines in 1977. A completely new logo concept was adopted by the designers, and the badge looked really cool and modern. The dark blue lettering in the uppercase of a slanted geometric sans-serif ruined was written against a transparent background under a massive solid green emblem, which depicted a stylized bird in a helmet with a white wheel-like element on the side.
