1960
In 1960-1975, THAI used a logo featuring a stylized Thai classical dancer. The design was nicknamed the dancing man.
1975
In 1975, when the company was growing as a global operator, the Thai Airways International logo was updated. The emblem developed by Walter Landor Associates featured a purple, magenta, and gold “jumpee,” which was based on the country’s traditional imagery, including its gold temples, tropical orchids, and luxurious silk.
2005 – Today
In 2005, the emblem was updated. The colors were slightly modified as was the typeface, which became lighter and better legible.
