Meaning and history

Thai Airways International Logo history

In 1975, when the company was growing as a global operator, the Thai Airways International logo was updated. The emblem developed by Walter Landor Associates featured a purple, magenta, and gold “jumpee,” which was based on the country’s traditional imagery, including its gold temples, tropical orchids, and luxurious silk.
In 2005, the emblem was updated. The colors were slightly modified as was the typeface, which became lighter and better legible.
