Falling in Reverse is an American post-hardcore band from Las Vegas. In its unconditional desire to combine pop and rap with metal, the band really has its own sound. This is very valuable, especially for their army of fans. The lyrical content of songs is mostly based on personal experiences, impressions, and memories of its founder, Ronnie Radke. He writes about his mother, about being in prison and being released, about problems with the law, drugs, and other things, but there are no songs about love in the band’s repertoire. Radke himself admitted that he does not want and will not write songs about love, even though he does not deny this feeling.
Meaning and History
Originally known as From Behind These Walls, Falling in Reverse was created in 2008 by an extremely problematic dude Ronald Radke. Lead singer Ronnie Radke began writing music while serving a 2.5-year prison sentence, reflecting on his past mistakes, pondering his future goals, and dealing with feelings about being kicked out of his previous band, Escape The Fate. The band’s current name is a reference to drugs and the effects of their use. The debut album, The Drug in Me Is You, was released in 2011 and peaked at number nineteen on the Billboard 200, while their second album, Fashionably Late, was released in 2013 and peaked at number seventeen on the Billboard 200. Alongside success, there was some tragedy, as guitarist Derek Jones passed away in 2020, at the age of 35. The band has released numerous singles along with several albums.
