1971 – 2008
The original logo of the Egyptian air carrier was executed in a blue, red, and yellow color palette with the colorful image of Horus, the god of sky and sun, drawn on a blue airplane wing, and accompanied by the two-colored d lettering in English and Arabic. The logo stayed in use for more than thirty years.
2008 – now
The redesign of 2008 was all about minimizing the design of the Egyptair logo. The new palette is based on a dark and deep shade of blue, with a plain white background. The composition is formed by bold uppercase lettering in a stylized slanted font with softened ends of the bars, followed by a blue image of Horus, placed on a white background without any framing.
