1973 – 1989

The first logo of AirMalta featured a bold and stable composition with uppercase lettering in blue and red, followed by a square red and blue emblem with a white Maltese Cross on it. The emblem was set in the same size as the characters of the inscription, which made the badge look very well-balanced.

1989 – 2000, 2005 – 2012

The redesign has made red the main color of the logo. The emblem with the Maltese Cross was now placed above the lettering, getting three blue stripes underlining it. As for the inscription, it was set in set, with the uppercase characters executed in a bold serif typeface.

2000 – 2005

Air Malta Logo 2000

In 2000 the logo of the air carrier was modernized and redrawn in a dark shade of red against a plain white background. The Maltese cross was now set in red on the left from the lowercase lettering in a cool sans-serif typeface with softened contours of the characters.

2012 – Today

Air Malta Logo

In 2012 the Maltese air carrier introduced a completely different logo, with white lettering and an enlarged emblem written against a red airplane wing, with several colorful stripes framing it. The logo looks very bright and modern.
