1961 – 1988
The original logo of Adria Airways, designed in 1961, looked super cool and interesting for its times. The logo was set in a black-and-white color palette and comprised a solid white circle inscribed into a black square. The circle was vertically divided into two equal parts by a thin black line, and in each part, there was a stylized letter “A”, formed by two diagonal parallelograms, with no horizontal bars.
1988 – 2019
The redesign of 1988 has created a completely different image for the Slovenian air carrier. The color palette was switched to smooth yet dark blue and white, and the only element on the badge was the stylized “Adria” wordmark in the uppercase of a very elegant and beautiful sans-serif designer font with interesting contours of the characters.
