1919 – 2002

The original logo for the National Roads and Motorists Association was introduced in 1919 and became a basis for many future redesigns. It was a blue and white composition with the NRMA abbreviation in a bold yet smooth sans-serif typeface set against a white background with a circular blue wreath and a winged crown on it. The main part of the logo was underlined by a modest title case “Motoring & Services” tagline, also in blue.

2002 – 2008

The redesign of 2002 has kept the top part of the original badge, but switched the colors, so now the abbreviation and the graphical element are drawn in white on a solid blue background. As for the tagline, it was also changed, so now the lettering was saying “NRMA Member Services”, and was also written in white characters, at the bottom part of the logo.

2008 – 2014

Another redesign happened to the NRMA visual identity in 2008. The solid blue crest has a light-blue narrow rectangle attached to its right part, with a slight white distance. The tagline of the flag was rewritten in capitals and again featured the “Motoring + Services” inscription. But that was not all. The flag got another addition — the cursive blue “Helping People” motto, written under it in the lowercase.

2014 – 2015

In 2014 the association decided to change the shape and style of its legendary logo, but the new version has only stayed active for several months. The new composition was formed by the stylized winged wheel in two shades of blue, set on the left from the three-line inscription, with the upper two in light blue, and the bottom one — in a darker tone.

2015 – 2018

The redesign of 2015 has brought back the original style of the NRMA visual identity but with a refined color palette. The abbreviation with the wreath was enlarged and redrawn in a light shade of blue, with no additional lettering. In the new shade of blue the badge started looking more vivid and up-to-date.

Another change of color happened to the NRMA logo in 2018. The sky-blue was replaced by a bright yet dark shade of blue, and although all the main elements have remained untouched, the new color added some intensity and excellence to the logo.
