Meaning and history

Motor City Bowl Logo

The automotive theme was pretty obvious in the Motor City Bowl logo. While on many other football bowl logos a football is the most prominent object, here, a car wheel was most visible. Next to it, you could see a number of red lines of different height and width, which added some motion. The palette combined bright red with dark blue over the white background.
