Meaning and history

Logo Presidents Athletic Conference

The President’s Athletic Conference started its history in 1955. It is affiliated with the NCAA’s Division III. The short name of the conference, “PAC,” is placed at the center of the President’s Athletic Conference logo. The designer has chosen bold white letters of a classic sans serif type. The abbreviation is encircled by the full name of the conference in a slightly different type. While it is also a sans, the glyphs look flatter and thinner here. In the background, a stylized flower with six petals can be seen.

The overall shape is an ellipse. Due to the gradient structure used on the trim, the logo looks like a medallion.
