Pernod Ricard is the French company, created in 1975, the second largest spirits and wine manufacturer in the world. It operates in more than 85 affiliates and 100 production sites and is focused on the premium spirits market. The company’s eponymous products, Pernod Anise and Ricard Pastis, are both anise-flavoured pastis apéritifs and are often referred to simply as Pernod or Ricard.
The Pernod Ricard logo is a classic typeface wordmark executed in navy blue with a flower-like round emblem with 10 short petals and one long, forming two.
The color scheme of the brand’s logo consists only of two blue tones – the darker one is for the wordmark and the lower petals, and the light blue is for the six upper petals of the emblem.
Apparently these two colors reflect the way the brand was created – by merging of two companies, Pernod and Ricard, in 1975.
One more detail of the logo is the brand’s motto below the Pernod Ricard name. “Créateurs de Convivialité”, creators of conviviality, – representation of good company, sociable moments and a festive atmosphere.
Pernod Ricard holds one of the most prestigious brand portfolios in the sector: ABSOLUT Vodka, Ricard pastis, Ballantine’s, Chivas Regal, Royal Salute and The Glenlivet Scotch whiskies, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Martell Cognac, Havana Club rum, Beefeater gin, Kahlúa and Malibu liqueurs, Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagnes, as well Jacob’s Creek, Brancott Estate (formerly Montana), Campo Viejo and Graffigna wines.
