While the Bradenton Marauders logo echoes the brand identity of their parent team, it still looks unique and instantly recognizable.
The history of one of the most popular Minor League Baseball franchises, the Bradenton Marauders, can be traced back to 1957, when the team under the name Tampa Tarpons was established in Tampa, Florida. As the Tarpons; the club plays until 1988, and during these years it has managed to win three league championships. However, at the end of the 1980s, the franchise was sold and had to move to Sarasota, changing the name to the Sarasota White Sox. In 1994 the name was changed to the Sarasota Red Sox, and ten years later, – simplified to the Sarasota Reds. The Reds finished their career in 2009, and this is when the story of the Bradenton Marauders begins.
Established in 2010, the Marauders started playing in the West Division of the Florida State League as the Class-A Advanced affiliates of the Pittsburg Pirates club, upgrading to the Single-A Class in 2021.
A bearded pirate can be seen under the name of the team featuring a combination of a unique script font and classic serif type. The pirate is wearing a black hat and red bandana.
In 2012, the team for the first time used the symbol sporting two crossed bats behind a skull with an eye patch.
While the official palette includes only black, gold, and white, in fact, the Bradenton Marauders logo also features red and beige, which were necessary to make the emblem more realistic. The official colors mirror those of the parent team’s logo.
